Heritage NSW is seeking a proactive and community-minded Project Officer to help deliver the NSW Government’s Blue Plaques program. The program shares the fascinating stories of underrepresented people and events that have helped shape NSW’s heritage.

In this role, you’ll support the design and delivery of community engagement activities that amplify the stories behind the plaques as well as contribute to the program’s administration.  You’ll work closely with the project team, stakeholders, and community members to ensure the program remains inclusive, relevant, and impactful. 

About you

The successful candidate will have experience working in contested spaces and on complex community engagement projects. You will be confident in prioritising your work and delivering to a high standard. You work collaboratively and enjoy building good relationships with your colleagues.

Knowledge and experience

• Project management skills demonstrating the ability to deliver agreed outcomes on time, on budget, and to quality standards, and demonstrated time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
• Experience working in a fast paced and high-volume office, including proven capacity to support senior management in the management of high-profile issues and projects.
