We are currently seeking experienced and passionate Mental Health Support Workers to join our growing team.
About the RoleThis role involves supporting participants with complex mental health needs and challenging behaviours to achieve their goals, build independence, and improve their quality of life. You will work collaboratively with participants, families, and allied health professionals while providing compassionate, professional, and recovery-focused support.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide high-quality, person-centred support to NDIS participants with mental health and psychosocial disabilities.
Support participants who display challenging behaviours using positive behaviour support strategies.
Assist participants with daily living activities, community access, and skill development.
Promote independence, social inclusion, and participant choice.
Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and incident reports.
Follow participant care plans, organisational policies, and NDIS Practice Standards.
Build positive, respectful, and professional relationships with participants and their support networks.
Minimum 2 years' experience supporting NDIS participants with mental health and psychosocial disabilities.
Demonstrated experience working with participants presenting challenging behaviours.
Strong understanding of person-centred and recovery-oriented practice.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
Current Victorian Driver Licence and reliable vehicle.
