Principal, Solution Design and Roadmaps

Help shape QTC's technology future. 

We're looking for an experienced architecture professional to help drive technology strategy, solution design and roadmap planning across QTC. 

Reporting to the Director, Architecture and Design, you will play a key role in shaping how technology decisions are made across the organisation. Working with business leaders, technology teams, delivery partners and vendors, you will help ensure technology investments, solution designs and roadmaps are aligned with strategic objectives and enterprise architecture. 

This is an opportunity to influence enterprise-wide technology outcomes while helping evolve architecture, design and governance practices across QTC. 

What you'll do 

• Own and maintain enterprise technology roadmaps across QTC's systems and applications 
• Align technology plans with business priorities, enterprise architecture, lifecycle requirements and strategic direction. 
• Support architecture governance and promote consistency in technology design, standards and decision-making. 
• Develop and maintain architecture artefacts, technical documentation and technology planning assets. 
• Partner with business stakeholders, project teams, vendors and managed service providers to guide technology outcomes. 
• Assess emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve business capability, operational effectiveness and long-term value. 
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of architecture and solution design practices across the organisation. 

About you 

You are a senior technology professional with strong architecture, solution design and stakeholder engagement capabilities. 

You'll bring: 

• Significant experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, technology strategy or related disciplines. 
• Proven experience developing and managing technology roadmaps in enterprise environments. 
• Strong experience reviewing, shaping and assuring technology solution designs. 
• Good knowledge of enterprise architecture principles, enterprise and cloud technologies and technology governance practices. 
• The ability to influence and guide outcomes across diverse stakeholder groups. 
• Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex technology concepts into practical business decisions. 
• A collaborative approach and a passion for building capability, improving practices and delivering business value through technology.

What you'll need 

• Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience. 
• Extensive experience delivering architecture and design services in complex enterprise environments. 
• Experience supporting emerging and AI-enabled technology initiatives.
