Administration Officer

About the role:

We are looking for a permanent full-time staff member to join the heart of the department; the Administration and Reception team play a crucial role. As the initial point of contact for patients and families at our clinic, you will set the tone for a welcoming and supportive experience.

We are looking for a permanent fulltime staff member. 

Key Accountabilities

• Provide timely and accurate information in response to queries by patients, carers or clinicians regarding hospital services.
• Processing patient admission forms and capturing relevant information
• Ensuring all relevant patient forms are signed and patent labels are printed.
• Preparing claims to be sent to health funds and entering into relevant systems.
• Billing of accounts using the relevant system and other requirements as instructed
• Recording and reporting on administrative tasks associated with the day to day running of the hospital
• Attending to the telephones/switchboard using a polite and friendly manner
• Providing timely and accurate information in response to queries by patients, visitors, vendors and other customers, handling enquiries proficiently

About You: 

You’ll be organised, professional, adaptable and confident communicating with a range of stakeholders. You’ll also have:

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proven organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to manage conflict and maintain positive working relationships.
• Medical terminology knowledge (desirable).
• Experience booking medical/surgical admissions and procedures (highly desirable).

Additional Information:
