About Us

Rosebank College has a proud and varied history of over 150 years as part of the Good Samaritan family established in 1857 and belonging to the Benedictine spiritual and educational tradition founded by St Benedict in the 4th century. The College belongs to the community of ten schools across Australia called Good Samaritan Education (GSE). Established in 2011 by the Sisters of the Good Samaritan, the mission of Good Samaritan Education is to sustain and nurture our Catholic schools as Good Samaritan Benedictine communities of learning.

Rosebank College invites applications from innovative and strategic educational leaders for the permanent full-time position of Pathways and Partnerships Coordinator, commencing in Term 1, 2027.

This position attracts a 2-Point Coordinator Allowance and reports to the Dean of Learning and oversees the Pathways and Partnerships team.

The Pathways and Partnerships Coordinator will provide strategic leadership for the College’s Careers Education, Vocational Education and Training, workplace learning, post-school pathways, alumni engagement and external partnerships.

The successful applicant will lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive and age-appropriate Pathways Framework that enables students to explore their strengths, understand the opportunities available to them and make informed decisions about their learning and future.

The Coordinator will establish and sustain meaningful partnerships with universities, TAFE NSW, Registered Training Organisations, employers, industry, alumni, Catholic agencies and community organisations. These partnerships will create authentic learning, mentoring, workplace and transition opportunities for students.

As Rosebank commences Stage 3 in 2027, the Coordinator will also work collaboratively with the Stage 3 Coordinator and teaching team to support age-appropriate career awareness, enterprise learning, community connections and future-focused learning experiences.

The position includes a teaching allocation, with teaching responsibilities determined according to the successful applicant’s qualifications, experience and the operational needs of the College.

Key Responsibilities

The successful applicant will:

• Provide strategic leadership for the College's Careers Education and Pathways Framework.
• Lead and oversee the College's Vocational Education and Training (VET) programs.
• Coordinate Work Experience, Structured Workplace Learning and school-based Apprenticeships and Traineeships.
• Develop innovative partnerships with universities, TAFE, Registered Training Organisations, employers, industry and community organisations.
• Build and maintain meaningful relationships with Rosebank alumni to support mentoring, workplace learning, networking and career education.
• Develop and maintain a Graduate Destinations Database to inform strategic planning and strengthen alumni engagement.
• Coordinate careers education programs, university applications, scholarships, early entry programs and parent information evenings.
• Lead industry immersion, mentoring and authentic workplace learning opportunities.
• Support the development of future-focused learning opportunities for students, including the introduction of age-appropriate career awareness and enterprise learning for Stage 3 students.
• Work collaboratively with the Director of Stage 3, curriculum leaders and College Leadership Team to develop a coherent pathways continuum across the College.
• Promote innovation, enterprise and authentic learning experiences that prepare students for a rapidly changing world.

To be considered for this position, you will demonstrate:

• A commitment to the Catholic Mission, values and educational vision of Rosebank College.
• Appropriate tertiary teaching qualifications.
• Current NESA accreditation and approval to teach in NSW.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in careers education, VET, student pathways, workplace learning, tertiary transition or partnership development.
• Comprehensive knowledge of post-school pathways, including university, TAFE, VET, apprenticeships, traineeships and employment.
• Knowledge of UAC applications, early entry programs, scholarships and contemporary tertiary admission pathways.
• Knowledge and experience of VET, Structured Workplace Learning, Work Experience and School-Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships.
• Demonstrated capacity to establish and sustain productive partnerships with universities, employers, industry, training providers, alumni and community organisations.
• The ability to provide effective, student-centred careers guidance and pathway support.
• Strong strategic planning, project management and organisational capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
• The ability to collect, analyse and report data to inform planning and continuous improvement.
• A commitment to innovation, authentic learning and future-focused education.
• High-level digital capability and the ability to incorporate contemporary technologies into professional practice.
• A collaborative leadership style and the capacity to influence, inspire and work effectively across the College.
• A valid Working with Children Check.
• A demonstrated commitment to child safeguarding principles and practices.
• A willingness to support and actively contribute to the Catholic ethos and learning culture of the College.

A CICA-endorsed careers qualification, or equivalent, is desirable. Applicants who do not currently hold this qualification should be willing to undertake relevant careers development study.

Experience in careers education, VET coordination, partnership development or transition programs within a school setting is required.
