Senior/master stylist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior/Master Stylist to join the talented team at Jolié the salon in Camp Hill, Queensland. This is a part-time position with potential to be full time that offers flexibility whilst allowing you to showcase your expertise and creativity in hair and beauty services. As a Senior/Master Stylist, you will be at the forefront of delivering exceptional styling services, setting industry standards, and mentoring junior team members. This role is pivotal to maintaining our reputation for excellence and innovation in the hair and beauty sector.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high-quality hair styling, cutting, colouring, and treatments to a diverse clientele

• Consult with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and hair care goals

• Maintain professional standards of hygiene, safety, and sanitation in all service delivery

• Mentor and guide junior stylists, offering constructive feedback and professional development opportunities

• Stay current with the latest trends, techniques, and products in the hair and beauty industry

• Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage loyalty and repeat business

• Manage your own appointment schedule efficiently to maximise productivity

• Contribute to a positive salon culture and support team collaboration

• Assist with salon training programmes and skill development initiatives

What we're looking for

• Extensive experience as a professional stylist, with a minimum of 6+ years in the hair and beauty (preferably 10years) industry especially blondes

• Recognised qualifications and certifications in hairdressing and beauty services from an accredited institution

• Advanced technical expertise in cutting, colouring, styling, and treatments

• Proven ability to mentor and guide junior stylists effectively

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to build rapport with clients

• Current knowledge of hair and beauty trends, techniques, and industry best practices

• A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and client care

• Excellent time management and organisational abilities

• A genuine passion for the hair and beauty industry and continuous learning

• Preferably experience working in a salon environment and managing your own client base
