Disability Support Worker

Pathway Links Support Services is seeking compassionate and reliable Disability Support Workers to join our team in Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes. This is a casual position offering flexible hours to suit your lifestyle.

Important: Availability for short shifts, passive and active overnight shifts is required as part of a rotating roster.

About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker, you will support participants with complex and multiple disabilities to live as independently as possible while enhancing their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal care (e.g. showering, dressing, grooming)
• Deliver high-intensity supports in line with participant care plans
• Assist with daily living tasks including meal preparation, cleaning, and errands
• Support participants to attend appointments, social outings, and community activities
• Encourage engagement in meaningful activities to promote wellbeing and independence
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes
• Work collaboratively with the broader support team to implement individualised support plans

Essential Requirements

• Availability for passive sleepover and active overnight shifts
• Demonstrated experience providing high-intensity supports, including PEG feeding, oral secretion management, bowel care, and other complex health-related supports
• Experience working within a SIL (Supported Independent Living) environment
• Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent), or currently working towards
• Strong understanding of person-centred practice
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work both independently and within a team
• A genuine passion for supporting people with disabilities
