About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Warehouse & Production Team Leader to take hands-on ownership of our daily warehouse operations.

This is a physical role for someone who leads from the front. You will coordinate warehouse workflow, guide one Warehouse Assistant and work closely with production, assembly, installers and freight providers to ensure every order is complete, accurate and dispatched on time.

Attention to detail is critical. Our customers need complete, installation-ready solutions—not simply the main product. You must think through every order from beginning to end, checking that all fittings, fasteners, accessories, documentation and other required components are included.

Excellent customer service starts in the warehouse. Your work will directly influence whether installers receive everything they need, when and where they need it.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Coordinate daily warehouse priorities and workflow

• Guide and support one Warehouse Assistant

• Progressively take greater responsibility for task allocation, training and quality checks

• Pick, verify, pack and dispatch complete customer orders

• Check that every component, accessory and piece of hardware required for installation is included

• Coordinate with production and assembly teams to ensure orders are completed and ready for dispatch

• Take installer calls and schedule order collections

• Book freight, carriers and collections

• Receive, inspect and store incoming goods arranged through the Operations Manager

• Maintain accurate inventory records and support regular stocktakes

• Record serial numbers, photographs and dispatch documentation

• Assist with light assembly, wiring, soldering, fabrication, testing and product programming when required

• Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse

• Identify and drive practical improvements in warehouse processes, accuracy and efficiency

• Assist with other operational requirements when needed

What You’ll Bring

• At least five years of warehousing, dispatch or related operational experience

• At least two years of team leadership or workflow-coordination experience

• A current forklift licence

• A current driver’s licence

• Strong attention to detail and an ability to think through complete product solutions

• A reliable, committed attitude and interest in building a long-term career

• Ownership, initiative and the discipline to follow tasks through to completion

• Strong spoken and written English for safety, coordination and accurate recordkeeping

• Competence with Excel, email and general inventory or warehouse systems

• The physical capability and willingness to perform active, hands-on warehouse work involving poles, large panels and bulky components

• A strong commitment to safe manual-handling practices

• Unrestricted Australian working rights

Experience with manufacturing, electrical products, lighting, construction supplies or other technical products will be highly regarded. Basic hands-on or technical experience is preferred, with Leadsun providing product-specific training.

The warehouse normally operates from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday to Friday. Some flexibility to work additional hours may occasionally be required to meet operational needs.
