As our customer base continues to grow, we are seeking a hands on Mobile Software Engineer

The Opportunity

We’re looking for 2 Mobile Software Engineer for a 6 month contract to help lead our native rebuild across iOS and Android — building the app that finance teams open every day to snap a receipt, log a trip, or approve spend.

This isn’t a “just write code” role. You’ll partner closely with Product, Design and Engineering to solve real customer problems, and you’ll work agent-first — using AI coding tools to move faster while you hold the line on architecture, quality and what actually ships to production.

What you will do

Own features end-to-end – From design spec to a release in the App Store and Google Play.

Drive the native rebuild – Move screens to native, incrementally, without breaking the flows finance teams depend on daily

Shape the architecture – Make the calls on language, framework and build tooling across both platforms, and keep them current.

Work agent-first with AI tools- Turn Jira tickets and ambiguous requirements into clear, testable specifications; delegate first-pass implementation to coding agents; review for architecture, correctness and conventions; and own the code that ships

Orchestrate, don’t just prompt – Run multiple agent tasks in parallel and design the feedback loops — tests, evals, guardrails

Drive test automation and TDD – Unit, integration and UI tests on both platforms, with test cases authored and tracked in our testing platform and wired into CI so every pull request is built, analysed and tested

Hold the verification bar – You are accountable for what reaches production — you catch defects through disciplined review, strong typing, automated checks, and by running the build on a real device and comparing it against the design

Lift the team – Set conventions, and write the specs and context that make both agents and teammates effective

Experience and Skills

• Bachelors degree or equivalent practical experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience in building and shipping native mobile applications, with real depth in at least one of Swift/SwiftUI or Kotlin/Java — and the appetite to work across both
• Minimum 1 year of experience in releasing to the App Store and/or Google Play — signing and provisioning, staged rollouts, crash triage, and store review
• Minimum 1 year experience in testing, maintaining or launching software products
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and related design patterns
• Practical experience integrating REST APIs, including authentication token lifecycles, OAuth2 / OIDC SSO, offline and error states, and background work.
• Fluent with AI coding agents (Claude Code, Gemini, or Codex) in real production work — not demos. You can decompose a problem, write a precise spec, delegate to agents, and verify the result
• Strong code-reading and review skills. You assess architecture, correctness and maintainability quickly — in an AI-native team, reading and reviewing matter as much as writing.
• Test-automation discipline. You write and maintain meaningful tests and treat them as the contract that agent-generated code must satisfy.
• Ownership and comfort with ambiguity. You take a vague problem all the way to a shipped, reliable solution
