Diesel Mechanic

Location: Cradoc, Tasmania

Duggans is seeking a fully qualified Diesel Mechanic to join our Mechanical Workshop at Cradoc.

This is a hands-on role responsible for the maintenance and repair of a diverse range of vehicles, heavy machinery, plant and equipment used across our operations.

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on vehicles, plant and equipment.

• Diagnose mechanical faults and complete repairs efficiently.

• Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing.

• Assist with breakdown repairs as required.

• Maintain equipment to a high standard of safety and reliability.

• Complete relevant maintenance records and documentation.

• Work safely and effectively as part of the workshop team.

The successful applicant will have:

• A recognised qualification as a Diesel Mechanic or equivalent.

• Experience servicing and repairing diesel vehicles, plant and heavy equipment.

• Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

• A good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• A reliable and practical approach to work.

• Experience working with heavy rigid trucks would be highly regarded.
