At Danila Dilba, you'll be part of a passionate multi-disciplinary team dedicated to improving health outcomes and supporting community wellbeing. In this role, you will provide high-quality, culturally safe physiotherapy services that help clients build strength, confidence, and independence. By working closely with clients and their support networks, you'll enable people to participate fully in daily life, maintain their connection to community, and continue living independently for as long as possible.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
Provide contemporary and culturally appropriate physiotherapy services including assessment, treatment, planning, and evaluation.
Maintain quality client medical records.
Work collaboratively with the Allied Health team to provide holistic allied health services that meet the needs of DDHS clients.
Contribute to physiotherapy group programs.
Supervise Indigenous Allied Health Assistants and support skill development.
Manage caseload and client bookings to ensure timely, coordinated service delivery.
Contribute to reporting for DDHS and funding bodies, taking responsibility for accurate content and reporting deadlines.
SELECTION CRITERIA
Essential
Understanding of and commitment to Aboriginal community control and self-determination.
Tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy with current AHPRA registration.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience providing high quality Physiotherapy services to older clients in a community setting.
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Demonstrated understanding of the primary health care context, principles of chronic disease prevention and management and goal-directed care planning.
Understanding of the issues and barriers that affect the wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Well-developed interpersonal skills with a strong client focus and the ability to establish and maintain collaborative partnerships with other health professionals and agencies.
Demonstrated competence in e-health record systems and office software applications.
High level written and oral communication skills.
Desirable
Experience working in the Aboriginal Community Controlled Health sector.
Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team.

Established in 1991, Danila Dilba Health Service (DDHS) is an Aboriginal community-controlled organisation committed to providing culturally appropriate, comprehensive primary health care services and community development within the Biluru (Aboriginal) community of the Yilli Rreung (Greater Darwin) Region in the Northern Territory.
IN RETURN WE OFFER
6 weeks annual leave (pro-rata).
5 days paid leave during end-of-year shut down (additional to annual leave).
Salary packaging up to $15,990 per annum, plus additional packaging options.

EMPLOYMENT IS SUBJECT TO
Willing to undergo a Police Check.
Ability and willingness to obtain a Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card).
Current driver's licence.
Current CPR certificate or the preparedness to gain one within 6 months of commencement.
Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or an exemption as listed on the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) be submitted.
