Senior Geologist

You will join a large-scale exploration drilling program supporting a tungsten project in North Queensland. Working as part of a newly established exploration team, you will contribute to RC and diamond drilling campaigns at a remote site approximately 130km northwest of Cairns.

This contract opportunity will run through to [September/December 2026]. You will work day shifts on either a 15:13 or 15:6 roster, flying into Cairns before travelling to site by DIDO. Camp accommodation, meals and Wi-Fi are provided, with shared camp facilities available.

As part of the team build, you will play an important role in delivering exploration outcomes, supporting safe and efficient drilling operations, and maintaining high standards of geological data collection and reporting in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Support RC and diamond drilling programs across the exploration site
- Complete geological logging, sampling and data collection activities
- Maintain accurate field records, databases and geological reporting
- Work collaboratively with the wider exploration and drilling teams
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and operational procedures

About you
- Proven background in exploration geology, ideally across RC and diamond drilling
- Strong capability in geological logging, sampling and field data collection
- Ability to work effectively in remote camp-based environments
- Hold a current manual driver's licence and pass medical and D&A screening
- First Aid certification is preferred
