Plant Operator

Lantrak is one of Australia's leading providers of integrated material management, transport, plant hire and recycling solutions. With operations across Victoria, Queensland and New South Wales, we support major infrastructure, civil construction and resource recovery projects across Australia.

We are currently seeking an experienced Plant Operator to join our Queensland operations, primarily based at Archerfield.

We are looking for a capable and experienced all-round Plant Operator who is comfortable working across a range of equipment and activities.

The role will form part of our crushing and screening operation and requires someone who can confidently operate mobile crushers and screens, as well as ancillary plant including wheel loaders and excavators.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Operating a range of mobile plant including wheel loaders and excavators

• Operating mobile crushing and screening equipment

• Completing daily pre-start inspections and equipment checks

• Carrying out daily and routine maintenance on plant and equipment

• Identifying and reporting faults and maintenance requirements

• Assisting with troubleshooting and general plant maintenance

• Maintaining a clean, safe and efficient work area

• Working in accordance with Lantrak's safety and operational requirements

The position will be predominantly based at Archerfield, with occasional travel to Logan and Ipswich as required.

To be successful, you will ideally have:

• Demonstrated experience as a Plant Operator in a similar environment

• Experience operating wheel loaders and excavators

• Experience with mobile crushing and screening equipment

• Strong mechanical aptitude and confidence completing routine plant maintenance

• Relevant plant tickets

• A strong understanding of safe plant operation

• The ability to identify equipment faults and maintenance requirements

• A reliable, hands-on approach to work

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team

• A current driver's licence

Experience within quarrying, recycling, material processing, civil construction or similar operations will be highly regarded.
