Location: Sydney

What You’ll Do

• You will drive end-to-end design and implementation of APIs, microservices, and full-stack applications.

• You will champion a “Build it, Own it, Run it” culture across the software lifecycle.

• You will influence architecture and technical standards across multiple teams.

• You will embed SRE and DevSecOps practices: observability, CI/CD, automated testing, security scanning.

• You will collaborate with product and business stakeholders to deliver impactful outcomes.

• You will leverage AI-powered tools (Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to accelerate delivery.

• You will mentor engineers and uplift development practices not only in the crew but influence across crews.

What We’re Looking For

• You will have proven experience in cloud-native development (preferably AWS) and banking domain systems.

• You will have strong skills in programming languages like C#, React, TypeScript, and .Net framework

• You will have expertise in modern architectural patterns, system design, distributed systems, and secure coding.

• You will have familiarity with Kafka, Redis, DynamoDB, containerisation (Docker), and observability tools.

• AWS certification is highly regarded.

• Leadership capabilities, including: 

o    Driving technical strategy and influencing architectural decisions across teams.

o    Coaching and mentoring engineers to grow their technical and leadership skills.

o    Building strong stakeholder relationships and communicating complex technical concepts clearly.

o    Championing a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
