Learning & Development Lead

At Schnitz, we're passionate about serving real food that makes people happy. With more than 80 restaurants across Australia and an exciting growth journey ahead, we're looking for an experienced Learning & Development Lead to join our Support Office team.

Reporting to the Head of Capability & Company Stores, you'll lead the design of our learning strategy, creating engaging training programs and digital learning that build capability across our franchise partners, restaurant teams and Support Office. Working closely with the National Field Training Manager, you'll help shape the way our people learn, grow and succeed.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design and lead the Learning & Development strategy across the Schnitz network.
• Develop and own Franchisee Training 2.0, including the end-to-end onboarding program for new franchise partners.
• Design new restaurant opening training content and certification programs in partnership with the National Field Training Manager.
• Continuously review and enhance learning content based on operational feedback.
• Own and manage CRUMBS University, ensuring learning content remains current, engaging and aligned with business needs.
• Create engaging learning content, including eLearning modules, training videos, facilitator guides and supporting resources.
• Develop annual training plans aligned to business priorities and capability requirements.
• Build role-based learning pathways and capability frameworks across restaurant, franchise and Support Office teams.
• Design and facilitate workshops and webinars covering leadership, operations, financial literacy, local marketing and other business initiatives.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and support career development across the network.
• Partner with People & Culture to develop induction and onboarding programs for new restaurant openings.
• Work closely with the National Field Training Manager to equip Field Trainers with the tools and resources required to successfully roll out new initiatives.
• Manage the Learning & Development budget within approved delegations.

About You

You'll be passionate about developing people and creating learning experiences that make a real impact.

• Proven experience in a Learning & Development leadership role, including instructional design, facilitation and program management.
• Experience within a QSR, hospitality, retail or franchise environment will be highly regarded.
• Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and modern instructional design methodologies.
• Experience developing digital learning content and managing Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• Excellent facilitation, stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
• Qualifications in Adult Education, Human Resources or a related discipline.
• Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE) is highly regarded.
