We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Accounts Officer to join our team. This is an engaging role responsible for the day-to-day finance function, working closely with our Commercial Manager, Directors and Project teams.

About the Role

You will be responsible for managing the company's day-to-day accounting functions while ensuring accurate financial records, timely payments and compliance with company procedures.

Our business uses Procore and Xero, providing an efficient, integrated workflow.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.

• Process supplier payments, client invoices and bank reconciliations.

• Process monthly payroll and ensure compliance with superannuation, PAYG and payroll obligations.

• Assist with month-end and year-end reporting, including journals and reconciliations.

• Support budgeting, cash flow forecasting and statutory reporting (BAS, GST and Payroll Tax).

• Review invoices transferred from Procore into Xero and resolve any queries with project teams.

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

• Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and contribute to the ongoing efficiency of the finance function.

About You

• Minimum 3 years' experience in an Accounts or Finance role.

• Strong experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and payroll.

• High attention to detail with excellent organisational and communication skills.

• Experience with Xero, Procore or the construction industry is highly regarded but not essential.
