About the Business

We are a well-established, family-owned metal fabrication and sheet metal business based in Seven Hills. We specialise in quality custom fabrication and sheet metal work for a range of commercial and industrial applications.

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Metal Fabricator / Welder to join our close-knit workshop team.

About the Role

This is a hands-on workshop position suited to someone who takes pride in their workmanship and enjoys producing quality fabricated products from start to finish.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Reading and interpreting engineering and workshop drawings.
• Measuring, marking out, cutting, drilling, bending and assembling metal components.
• MIG welding mild steel and stainless steel.
• TIG welding experience is desirable.
• Fabricating sheet metal and general metalwork to specifications.
• Operating workshop machinery including guillotines, press brakes, saws, drills, grinders and other fabrication equipment.
• Grinding, dressing and finishing completed welds and fabricated components.
• Inspecting finished work to ensure quality, accuracy and presentation.
• Working from job specifications and meeting production deadlines.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop.
• Following all workplace health and safety procedures.
• Looking after tools, machinery and welding equipment.
• Working independently while contributing positively to the wider team.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has proven experience in metal fabrication and welding.
• Can confidently read and interpret workshop/engineering drawings.
• Has strong MIG welding and general fabrication skills.
• Has good attention to detail and takes pride in producing quality work.
• Can work accurately with measurements and specifications.
• Is reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Works well both independently and as part of a team.
• Has a strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Is keen to build a long-term career with a stable, family-owned business.

A relevant trade qualification in Engineering – Fabrication Trade or equivalent experience is highly regarded.
