We are seeking a motivated and clinically focused Hospital Pharmacist to join Slade Pharmacy Kew, supporting St Vincent's Private Hospital Kew, a 41-bed private hospital, on a 3-month full-time fixed-term contract, with the potential for extension for the right candidate.

This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist who enjoys a varied hospital environment and is looking to further develop their clinical skills in private healthcare, working closely with patients, nursing staff and the wider multidisciplinary team.

Based at St Vincent's Private Hospital Kew, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality pharmacy services while gaining valuable experience within an established and supportive Slade Pharmacy team.

About the Role
You will provide comprehensive pharmacy services across the hospital, including:

• Providing pharmacy services to the Day Care/Day Procedure Unit (DPU).
• Supporting post-operative patients in the ward setting, including medication supply and clinical review.
• Conducting medication reconciliation and medication history on admission and discharge.
• Reviewing medication charts for appropriateness, safety, dosing, interactions and clinical suitability.
• Providing patient-focused medication counselling and education.
• Responding to clinical queries and providing timely medication-related advice to doctors and nursing staff.
• Managing and overseeing imprest stock control, including stock levels, ordering, expiry management and appropriate storage.
• Supporting the safe and efficient supply of medications to patients and clinical areas.
• Participating in medication safety, quality improvement and other clinical pharmacy activities.
• Undertaking a broad range of clinical and operational pharmacy tasks, with the opportunity to contribute across the full scope of hospital pharmacy services.

• Registered as a pharmacist with AHPRA.
• Experienced in, or interested in developing further experience in, hospital pharmacy. (Preferrable but not essential, training will be provided)
• Available to work on every second Saturday. This role included a weekend shift.
• Clinically focused with strong medication review and reconciliation skills.
• Confident communicating with patients and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Able to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a small pharmacy team.
• Organised, proactive and able to prioritise competing clinical and operational tasks.
• Committed to medication safety and high-quality patient care.
• Attention to detail and able to work autonomously

• Full-time position for an initial 3-month fixed-term contract.
