The Role

We are seeking an experienced Frontend Developer (ReactJS) to join a high-performing technology team delivering modern web applications and digital experiences for enterprise customers.

Based in Sydney, this role will focus on designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality React applications that are responsive, scalable, and user-centric. You will work closely with designers, product teams, and backend engineers to translate business requirements and UI/UX designs into robust frontend solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain modern web applications using ReactJS and related frontend technologiesTransform UI/UX wireframes and designs into responsive, accessible, and production-ready interfacesCollaborate closely with designers, product owners, business stakeholders, and backend developers to deliver exceptional user experiencesBuild reusable frontend components and maintain scalable application architectureIntegrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs and asynchronous servicesOptimise applications for speed, scalability, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibilityParticipate in peer code reviews and contribute to frontend best practices and coding standardsTroubleshoot and resolve defects, performance bottlenecks, and production issuesContribute to continuous improvement initiatives across engineering, delivery, and development processesRemain current with emerging frontend technologies, frameworks, and development trends

What You'll Need

Strong commercial experience developing applications using ReactJSProficiency with JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3Experience developing responsive and mobile-friendly user interfacesHands-on experience with React state management solutions such as Redux, MobX, Context API, or equivalentExperience integrating and consuming RESTful APIsStrong understanding of frontend performance optimisation techniquesExperience using Git and modern version control practicesStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailExcellent communication and collaboration skillsAbility to work effectively within Agile delivery environments

Desirable Experience

Experience with TypeScriptKnowledge of testing frameworks such as Jest, Enzyme, React Testing Library, or similarExperience with CSS preprocessors including SASS or LESSExposure to modern build and bundling tools such as Webpack, Babel, or ViteUnderstanding of web accessibility standards and security best practicesExperience working on enterprise-scale or customer-facing digital platformsExposure to cloud-native environments and modern software delivery practicesPrevious experience working in consulting or large-scale delivery environments

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline7-15 years' experience in frontend or web application developmentDemonstrated experience delivering commercial ReactJS solutionsStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging capabilitiesA collaborative mindset and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions
