HELLO AUSSIE STUDENT SERVICES We are seeking an experienced Human Resource Adviser to support our workforce and strengthen our human resources systems across our office, workshop and project operations. The Human Resource Adviser will provide professional advice and operational support across recruitment, employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, training, workplace policies and employment compliance.

The opportunity to improve human resource systems and contribute to workforce growth. A professional and supportive working environment. Task & responsibilities Advise management and employees on human resource policies, workplace relations and employment conditions.

Coordinate recruitment activities, including workforce planning, advertising, candidate screening, interviewing and onboarding. Prepare employment contracts, position descriptions, policies, procedures and employee correspondence. Maintain accurate personnel files, employment records and human resource information systems.

Provide advice on applicable awards, employment legislation and workplace policies. Support performance-management, probation, disciplinary and grievance processes. Assist managers in resolving workplace issues and improving employee performance and engagement.

Coordinate employee inductions, training, professional development and competency records. Monitor leave, attendance, licences, qualifications and mandatory workplace documentation. Assist with remuneration reviews, salary benchmarking and employee-benefit arrangements.

Support workforce planning for workshop, project, engineering and administrative teams. Coordinate employee consultation and workplace change processes. Assist with workers’ compensation, return-to-work and workplace health and safety matters.

Prepare workforce reports and recommend improvements to human resource systems and practices. Ensure employment practices comply with workplace laws and organisational requirements. Qualification & experience Applicants must have: a relevant bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business, Employment Relations or a related discipline; at least two years of relevant professional human resources experience; sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation, modern awards and human resource practices; demonstrated experience in recruitment, employee relations and performance management; strong written communication and document-preparation skills; the ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive workplace matters; excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills; and proficiency in Microsoft Office and human resource information systems.

Experience within structural steel, manufacturing, engineering, construction or another project-based industrial environment will be highly regarded.
