We’re looking for a passionate and dedicated Guide Dog Mobility Instructor to join our highly skilled Guide Dog Services team. This is a unique opportunity to combine your expertise in guide dog mobility, dog training, and client support to make a lasting difference in the lives of people who are blind or have low vision. Reporting to the Lead Guide Dog Mobility Instructor, you will play a key role in maintaining the high standards of See Differently’s Guide Dog Service and the International Guide Dog Federation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, train, and develop guide dogs through a comprehensive training program.
• Assess, select, and train clients in all aspects of guide dog mobility.
• Deliver high-quality client training, support, supervision, and aftercare services.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to reporting and administration requirements.
• Support and mentor team members while contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
• Represent See Differently at community, education, and promotional events.

About You:

You are a people-focused professional with a genuine love of working with both dogs and people. You thrive in a collaborative environment, bring positivity and resilience to your work, and are committed to delivering exceptional outcomes.

You’ll bring:

• Successful qualification as a Guide Dog Mobility Instructor at an IGDF accredited Guide Dog School.
• Strong dog training capabilities with positive reinforcement training
• A positive, can-do attitude and professional empathy.
• Ability to work under pressure and strong problem-solving abilities
• Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.
• A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
• A valid driver’s licence and the ability to meet relevant screening and clearance requirements.
