About the role
This is a fixed-term full-time opportunity for 6 months with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.
Are you a highly organised professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working at the highest levels of government and leadership?
The Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) is an independent board who provides advice directly to the Minister EPA WA | EPA Western Australia. This is a rare opportunity to work closely alongside EPA Chair and Deputy Chair, supporting not only the day-to-day priorities of the EPA to meet their legislative requirements, but to also be the driving force behind a busy executive office, providing trusted support that enables effective decision-making, stakeholder engagement and organisational leadership. No two days are the same as you navigate complex priorities, manage high-profile correspondence, coordinate executive schedules and ensure the Chair is fully prepared for meetings, events and strategic engagements. Experience in legislative requirements and high-level governance is preferred.
The role is governed with strong processes and procedures, backed by the EPA Governance Framework, and reporting to the Executive Manager to the EPA. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior government leaders, external executives and key stakeholders across Western Australia. You'll coordinate important meetings, draft executive-level communications, meeting logistics, coordinate events, catering and speaking engagements, and ensure critical work progresses seamlessly. Your ability to anticipate needs, manage competing demands and maintain exceptional attention to detail will be key to your success.
If you enjoy building strong relationships, solving problems before they arise and making a meaningful contribution at the executive level, this is an opportunity to play a highly visible and valued role within the EPA.
This role requires an office-based presence in the Perth Office on St Georges Terrace, with flexibility to work from alternative locations subject to operational requirements and agreement with the manager.
At the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation, we are committed to fostering a modern workplace that supports flexibility, collaboration, and wellbeing.
