Program Manager, Mental Health Services

Amity Health is seeking an experienced and values-driven Program Manager, Mental Health Services to lead a growing portfolio of community-based mental health programs across regional Western Australia. This newly created role offers the opportunity to influence service delivery, support multidisciplinary teams and strengthen access to high-quality, person-centred care across the Great Southern, Southern and Northern Wheatbelt, and Southern Coastal Goldfields regions.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to step into a new leadership position and help shape the future of Amity Health’s Mental Health Services. You will lead programs that support early intervention, active case management, social and emotional wellbeing, community connection and therapeutic support for people across regional communities.

What You’ll Lead

In this role, you will provide operational leadership across a diverse mental health portfolio, with the autonomy to build strong systems, develop people, strengthen partnerships and support services to deliver meaningful outcomes for regional communities.

You will have the opportunity to:

• Shape and lead a newly created mental health leadership role.
• Support multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, person-centred and culturally safe services.
• Strengthen integration across mental health, allied health and community services.
• Build strong relationships with funders, community partners and referral networks.
• Use data, evidence and community insight to guide service improvement and innovation.
• Oversee program performance, governance, risk, budgets and funding requirements.
• This is a full-time, brand new position based in Albany, WA, with regular travel across regional service areas.

About You

You are a confident, compassionate and experienced leader who understands the complexity of mental health and community-based service delivery. You bring the credibility to lead clinical and non-clinical teams, the curiosity to improve systems, and the commitment to help services reach the people who need them most.

To be successful, you will bring:

• Significant leadership experience within mental health, primary health, community services or a related human services environment.
• A minimum of five years’ frontline clinical experience supporting individuals experiencing mental health challenges, psychosocial complexity or related health needs.
• Strong understanding of integrated, person-centred and trauma-informed models of care.
• Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary teams across program delivery, service improvement and operational performance.
• Experience managing budgets, contracts, funded programs and reporting frameworks.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted partnerships across health, government and community sectors.
• A commitment to culturally safe, inclusive and equitable approaches that support diverse communities.

Essential Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in Health Science, Nursing, Allied Health, Public Health, Community Services, Social Work or a related discipline.
• Current National Police Clearance.
• Current Working with Children Check.
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or ability to obtain).
• Current WA Driver’s Licence.

Desirable

• Postgraduate qualifications in health, leadership, public health, human services management or a related field.
• Experience leading services across regional or geographically dispersed communities.
• Training in trauma-informed practice, program evaluation, co-design or social impact measurement.
• Experience driving quality improvement in health or community service settings.
