The Role

The employer is seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join the Underground Mobile Maintenance Team. The successful candidate will support the reliability, safety, and performance of a large mobile fleet used in underground mining operations.

You will be working with a supportive crew of trades professionals in a well-equipped maintenance workshop.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair faults on underground mobile equipment, including loaders, trucks, drills, and ancillary fleet
  
  

• Conduct scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance, and breakdown repairs
  
  

• Carry out component replacements and rebuilds as required
  
  

• Maintain accurate service and repair records
  
  

• Ensure all maintenance tasks are completed safely and in line with site procedures
  
  

• Liaise with operators and supervisors to minimise equipment downtime
  
  

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic (or equivalent, recognised in Australia)
  
  

• Experience with underground mobile plant (or strong heavy industry/mobile plant maintenance background)
  
  

• Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills
  
  

• A high commitment to safety and teamwork
  
  

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced underground environment

Salary: 126K +super
