Your Role

Provide support to women and families experiencing domestic violence/crisis. Assist in the entry and assessment of new clients at the refuge and in the daily running of the site.  You will be joining a supportive and inclusive environment for both our clients and employees. We value teamwork, collaboration, and continuous learning to ensure the highest level of care and support for our clients. 

Your Responsibility

• Provide respectful, client-centered support aligned with trauma-informed care principles.
• Assist with client assessments, case plan implementation, and day-to-day site operations.
• Foster a safe and welcoming environment, ensuring compliance with WHS standards.
• Maintain accurate records and liaise with case management to meet client needs.
• Support activities, advocacy, and transport for clients as required.

You Will Need

• Appropriate Certificate or equivalent experience or currently undertaking tertiary study, in a related field.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to use sound judgement and act appropriately in crisis and emergency situations.
• Ability to maintain an ethical, yet non-judgmental, attitude towards residents and staff, and commitment to this.
• Sound knowledge of WHS legislation as it relates to the workplace.
• Ability to work a rotating roster covering day & afternoon shifts
• Current first aid & safe food handlers certificate (or willingness to obtain) 
• Current NSW driver licence.
