Project Engineer (civil and structrual)

• Permanent role on a 14/7 FIFO roster
• Major greenfield copper project in Queensland
• Lead civil and structural engineering delivery activities

We are partnering with a leading mining client to recruit a Project Engineer (Civil & Structural) for a major greenfield copper project in Queensland. This permanent opportunity will see you play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of construction activities across civil and structural disciplines, working alongside experienced engineering, construction and project teams.

In this role, you will coordinate engineering deliverables, support construction planning and provide technical guidance to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with project requirements. You will work closely with site teams, designers, contractors and stakeholders to resolve technical queries, review documentation and help translate engineering designs into practical construction outcomes. This position is based at the project site on a 14 days on, 7 days off FIFO roster.

Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate civil and structural engineering activities across project delivery
• Review engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation
• Support the development of construction work packs and methodologies
• Provide technical support and resolve engineering queries from site teams
• Collaborate with construction teams, contractors and project stakeholders
• Monitor compliance with engineering standards, quality requirements and safety expectations
• Support planning, sequencing and execution of construction activities

About you
• Tertiary qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Proven project engineering experience within mining, infrastructure or heavy industry
• Strong understanding of civil and structural construction methodologies
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and provide practical site solutions
• Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes
• Safety-focused approach with the ability to work within project procedures and standards
