About the role

Kitchen Hand / Cook position at Gami Korean Chicken, Moonee Ponds. This role suits someone who thrives in fast paced environments, enjoys hands on kitchen work, and wants to grow with a national brand.

Key responsibilities

• Assist cooks and kitchen staff with food preparation

• Assemble and prepare ingredients for cooking

• Operate basic kitchen equipment and fryers (training provided)

• Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness and hygiene

• Perform general cleaning duties including benches, equipment, and dishes

• Restock stations and ensure ingredients are organised and labelled

• Support smooth service during busy periods

• Work collaboratively with BOH team members

• Communicate clearly and professionally

• Follow food safety, allergen, and hygiene procedures

About you

• Availability Monday to Friday during daytime hours (essential)

• Ability to work under pressure and in a fast paced environment

• Strong attention to detail

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn

• Reliable, punctual, and committed to teamwork

• Ability to work with a variety of personalities

• Initiative and a proactive approach to tasks

• Some kitchen experience (desirable but not essential)
