Senior Estimator

The Company

You will be working for an established, privately owned and growing head contractor who are multi-faceted across the Remedial, Multi-Residential and Commercial sectors. We are proudly certified as a Great Place to Work in Australia.

MAX Build finds solutions to complex remedial challenges, delivering major remediation projects, high-rise façade maintenance and refurbishment works, and building adaptations and upgrades.

Projects are delivered across New South Wales, with this role based in our Sydney office, with occasional site visits as required.

The Role

MAX Build is an expanding remedial construction company searching for an experienced Estimator to join the team and support the delivery of high-quality tender submissions across a diverse project portfolio.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates, analysing project documentation, and coordinating supplier and subcontractor pricing. You will work closely with internal delivery teams to ensure estimates are aligned with project methodology, programme and risk considerations.

This role will suit someone with strong commercial acumen, attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying risks and opportunities within tenders, particularly within remedial construction.

The Right Candidate

The right candidate will thrive on delivering accurate, commercially sound estimates and will bring strong construction knowledge, attention to detail and a solutions-focused mindset.

You will have:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an Estimator role within the construction industry

• Demonstrated experience pricing medium to large-scale projects across remedial, residential or commercial sectors

• Strong remedial construction experience (highly regarded)

• Proven ability to interpret drawings, specifications and contract documentation

• Experience managing supplier and subcontractor pricing and building strong market relationships

• A solid understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing and cost drivers

• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify risks, value engineering opportunities and cost-saving initiatives

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• High level of organisation, accuracy and attention to detail
