Yard Operator

Acrow Engineering and Construction is a leading provider of smart, integrated construction systems across Formwork, Industrial Services and Commercial Scaffolding in Australia. Enhancing our portfolio are Falsework and Shoring, Screen Solutions, Jacking Systems (also known as Jumpform), and now, Prestons SuperDeck Loading Platforms.

Due to our growth and diversification, we are now looking for a permanent yard worker, to support the operations of the SuperDeck business out of our new Stapylton Depot.

We are looking for a broadly skilled operator, who can apply their skills to a range of tasks that will vary day to day. This role is crucial in meeting our clients’ expectations of well-presented, well-maintained SuperDecks that are delivered on time everytime.

We are happy to train the successful applicant in the rage of duties, but candidates with the following skills and capabilities will be highly regarded:

·         Sheet metal background

·         Surface prep and painting

·         Basic assembly and disassembly

·         Welding (Maintenance, not Structural)

·         Moving and loading complex, wide loads

In this role you will:

·         You will maintain and prepare SuperDecks, ensuring the high standards of our product

·         Load trucks safely in accordance with CoR requirements

·         Operate a forklift

·         Take responsibility for stock control and condition

·         Maintain records as required

·         Assist in housekeeping and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
