CAFE/RESTAURANT MANAGER/SUPERVISOR

Hunter & Scout is a much-loved café in the heart of Graceville, known for wholesome food, great coffee, and warm hospitality. With a vibrant courtyard, a loyal local following, and a welcoming atmosphere, we’ve built a reputation as a true neighbourhood favourite.

We’re now looking for an experienced Cafe/Restaurant Manager to lead our front-of-house team and oversee the day-to-day operations. This is a hands-on role with supportive owners who value trust and consistency, and a team and customer base that make the job genuinely rewarding.

About the role

This is a full-time position, 5 consecutive days per week including weekends. With no night shifts, the hours are well-suited to someone seeking stability and work-life balance — whether that’s more time with family, evenings free, or the chance to enjoy life outside of work. While weekend availability is important, some weekends off can be negotiated.

Responsibilities include:

• Overseeing and coordinating front-of-house operations

• Leading, training, and mentoring the team

• Delivering exceptional customer service and resolving guest needs with care

• Supporting with barista duties when needed (experience required)

• Light ordering, stock oversight, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards

What we’re looking for:

• A minimum of 2 years in a café or restaurant management role

• Strong people skills and proven leadership ability

• Barista experience in a busy café environment

• A reliable, organised manager who values professionalism and consistency

• Availability to work weekends (with some weekends off negotiable)
