Multi-Skilled Operator – Mine Site Construction

About the Role

MIB Project is hiring a full-time Multi-Skilled Operator – Mine Site Construction in Newman, WA, offering an industry-leading salary paired with highly lucrative production bonuses.

In this crucial role, you will safely operate and maintain heavy machinery to support our ongoing mining and construction activities. We are looking for skilled operators ready to combine technical expertise and safety with hitting targets to maximize their earning potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a range of heavy mobile equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, and graders in accordance with operational procedures and safety requirements.

• Perform routine maintenance and pre-start checks on equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation throughout shifts.

• Assist with mine site construction activities including earthworks, material handling, and site preparation.

• Comply with all relevant safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies at all times.

• Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and other site personnel to coordinate work activities.

• Monitor equipment performance and report any mechanical issues or hazards to management promptly.

• Contribute to a positive safety culture by participating in toolbox meetings and safety initiatives.

• Support site housekeeping and maintenance of work areas to maintain operational efficiency.

What We're Looking For

You MUST possess demonstrated experience operating at least TWO (2) of the following machine classes:

• Excavators: Less than 50 tonnes

• Graders: 14M

• Front End Loaders: Less than 30 tonnes

• Dozers: D6, D8, D9, and D10

Additional Requirements:

• Current and valid heavy equipment operator tickets or equivalent qualifications for the machinery listed above.

• Proven experience operating multiple types of heavy mobile equipment in mining or construction environments.

• Willingness to operate different machinery as required.

• Valid HR driver's license and ability to operate machinery on site.

• Understanding of mining safety protocols, Australian Standards, and regulatory requirements applicable to mining operations.

• Demonstrated commitment to health and safety practices with a strong safety record.

• Mechanical knowledge and ability to perform equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment.

• Reliability, punctuality, and a professional approach to work.
