Truck & Dog Operator — Somerset Region

A & M Civil is a family-owned civil construction company based in Fernvale. We're looking for an experienced Truck & Dog Operator to join our team, with ongoing work primarily across the Somerset Region.

About the Role

This is a hands-on role covering two separate tasks. As a truck and dog operator you'll cart material to and from job sites. As a float driver you'll transport plant and equipment, loading and unloading safely and efficiently — including operating a loader to load yourself. It's a role for someone who takes pride in their work and their gear.

What You'll Be Doing

• Operating a truck and dog trailer safely and productively

• Float work — transporting plant and equipment to and from sites

• Loading and unloading plant and equipment

• Driving a loader to load your own truck

• Daily pre-start checks and basic maintenance to keep your gear in top condition

• Working in with the site crew to keep jobs running smoothly

What You'll Need

• Proven experience operating a truck and dog

• Experience with float work — loading and unloading plant and equipment

• Ability to operate a loader to load yourself

• Current appropriate truck licence HC/MC

• Strong focus on safety and reliability

• A good work ethic and the ability to work as part of a team
