About The Opportunity

Reporting to our Workshop manager, your key responsibilities and duties will include, but are not limited to:

Conducting the maintenance and servicing of Rokon Mobile Plant (including excavators, loaders, dump trucks), vehicles and equipment in the workshop and on site.Ensuring that all engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, brakes, electrical trouble shooting, steering and cooling systems on all plant and equipment are maintained and in good working order.Keeping accurate and up to date records such as plant logs, service records, timesheets and other documentation as required.Liaising with contractors as required for machine breakdowns.Sourcing and/or arranging for spare parts to be delivered.Following and ensuring safe operating procedures at all times.

About you

To be considered for the role, you will need to demonstrate the following:

At least 2 years’ experience working as a Diesel Mechanic/Fitter on mobile heavy plant and machinery.Ability to use various diagnostic systems and tools.Ability to work autonomously on construction sites.Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent.Effective communication skills both written and verbal.Demonstrated understanding of working with OH&S procedures.Drivers’ license (HR license preferred.)
