Practice Manager - Dental

Reporting to the company directors, as the Practice Manager, you'll be the captain of our ship, coordinating with our Reception Team Lead, Head Nurse and OHT Team Leads. Together, you’ll be driving excellence in patient care while ensuring that the pathways of essential communication between the administrative and clinical teams of our busy 5 chair practice, are running effectively, efficiently and producing the seamless workflows that keep the business buoyant and morale high.

The role involves… 
People 
Being the go-between for, and having oversight of, existing team leads plus inductions, performance appraisals, training gaps and recruitment support 

Operations 
Staffing and scheduling, billing and collections, insurance claims, stock control, equipment maintenance 

Compliance & quality 
Accreditation, patient records and privacy standards, sterilisation and infection control oversight 

Finance 
Daily oversight of practice finances and budgeting 

Patient experience 
Reviewing communication and service standards 

Technology 
Extensive use of Microsoft Office and CareStack  

Projects  
Mid-level project management skills if / as required  
 

What success looks like in the first 90 days… 

• You've built professional, collaborative relationships with the team leads and understand how the clinic operates  

• Daily operations (scheduling, billing, stock, sterilisation compliance) run without needing our input 

We’d love to hear from you if you have / are…  

• At least 1-5 years of experience in management - dental experience ideal, including managing staff, finances, and patient care 

• Comfortable making decisions independently once you understand the business (full induction provided) 

• Strong organisational and time management skills in high-pressure environments  

• Confident, fair leadership - you can hold a team accountable without losing them 

• Solid computer literacy - ability to pick up new software quickly  

• Working knowledge of dental billing and insurance procedures preferred  

• Discretion and professionalism - you understand what privacy means in a healthcare setting 

• An effective and confident multi-tasker 

• A strong work ethic with a results-driven, proactive approach 

• A commitment to continued learning and self-improvement 

• Discreet and professional with a clear understanding of privacy expectations in a healthcare setting
