We have a brilliant opportunity for a motivated Design Assistant to join our professional and high performing Apparel Design Team. The role offers a great office culture and a happy supportive working environment. Plus, there's loads of opportunity to make your mark in the development and design of garments. This role is suited to someone who really loves both the creative and the technical side to design and development. What You'll Be Doing
As the Design Assistant you will:
Work collaboratively with the Senior Designer and broader design team. Working on technical sketches for tech packs Set up & maintain range pages. Assist with fitting samples & attending fit sessions Assist in the selection of fabrics, trims and accessories Undertake seasonal trend research Collating research into edited presentations Assisting with administrative duties & other design related tasks
To be successful in this team you will have:
Fashion Design, Textile Design, Graphic Design qualification or similar Proficient in Adobe Suite, specifically Illustrator and Photoshop Ability to create accurate technical specification drawings or the ability to learn on the job quickly Knowledge of construction and technical skills related to the area of product development Confident with Microsoft suite Good communication skills and the ability to build relationships quickly with key stakeholders Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks Ability to organise self and work to tight deadlines Experience within a retail apparel business is highly advantageous
