Quality & Compliance Manager

About the role

This is a newly created, high-impact role reporting directly to the General Manager. You will be the single owner of quality and compliance across the three core functions — Project Delivery, Design & Innovation, and Production — with the mandate to build a fit-for-purpose Quality Management System and drive Tank Vision toward ISO 9001 certification within 12 months.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement a Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with ISO 9001:2015 across all business functions

• Lead Tank Vision's ISO 9001 certification journey — gap analysis, documentation, audit readiness and liaison with certification bodies

• Own defect reduction: investigate non-conformances, implement root cause analysis (RCA) and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)

• Conduct regular internal audits across Project Delivery, Design & Innovation and Production

• Monitor and report on quality KPIs — defect rates, return-to-site incidents and compliance metrics — to the General Manager and leadership team

• Ensure compliance with relevant Australian Standards, building codes and WHS regulations

• Develop and deliver quality training programs across all departments

• Act as the primary contact for clients, external auditors and certifying bodies on quality and compliance matters

• Champion continuous improvement and embed quality thinking into Tank Vision's day-to-day operations

About you

• Demonstrated experience implementing or managing an ISO 9001 Quality Management System — hands-on involvement in achieving certification is highly regarded

• Thorough knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 requirements and internal audit methodology

• Background in construction, manufacturing or a project-based industry preferred

• Proven ability to lead quality initiatives across multiple functions without direct line authority

• Strong root cause analysis and non-conformance management skills

• Tertiary qualification in Quality Management, Engineering, Construction Management or a related field

• Excellent communicator — able to translate compliance requirements into practical, everyday guidance for diverse teams

• High attention to detail, analytical mindset and a hands-on approach

• Experience with Simpro or similar ERP/project management platforms is advantageous

• Professional membership with CQI, ASQ or equivalent is desirable
