Casual Support Worker

We are looking for a reliable, caring and compassionate Casual Support Worker to provide person-centred support to our client/s.

The successful applicant will assist with day-to-day activities and provide support that promotes independence, dignity, wellbeing and participation in the community.

Key responsibilities may include:

• Providing friendly and respectful day-to-day support
• Assisting with household tasks and daily routines
• Light domestic cleaning and maintaining a clean and tidy home environment
• Laundry, changing bed linen and other light household duties
• Supporting community access, appointments and activities
• Providing companionship and social support
• Assisting with personal care where required
• Following individual support plans and maintaining professional boundaries
• Supporting the safety, wellbeing and independence of the person receiving care
• Communicating appropriately with the individual, family members and relevant support team

About you:
We are looking for someone who is dependable, patient, respectful and genuinely enjoys helping others. You should take pride in providing quality support and keeping the home environment clean, safe and comfortable.

Previous experience in disability, aged care, community services or support work is desirable, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are also highly valued.

Requirements:

• Current Working with Children Check and/or NDIS Worker Screening Check, where applicable
• First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain
• Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle, where required
• Relevant experience or qualifications are desirable
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
