This is a part-time position supporting people with disability to build independence, participate in their community and work towards their individual goals.
We are looking for people who understand that quality support work is more than simply being present. Our Support Workers are expected to build positive professional relationships, show initiative, communicate effectively, maintain appropriate boundaries and provide support that is genuinely person-centred.
Your role may include:

Supporting meal preparation and healthy daily routines
Building positive and professional relationships with participants
Following individual support plans, behaviour support strategies and organisational procedures
Completing accurate case notes, incident reports and other required documentation
Communicating effectively with colleagues and the broader support team
Identifying and reporting changes, risks or concerns relating to participant wellbeing
Maintaining participant dignity, choice, privacy and professional boundaries at all times
We want to hear from applicants who take pride in providing high-quality support and can demonstrate:
Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to build rapport while maintaining professional boundaries
Initiative and the ability to work independently
A respectful and person-centred approach to disability support
The ability to follow support plans, policies and reasonable workplace directions
Strong written communication and documentation skills
Flexibility to work across a range of shifts, including mornings, afternoons and weekends
A commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
Previous experience in disability support, community services, youth work, aged care or a related field is highly regarded.
Applicants will also need to hold, or be willing and eligible to obtain, the relevant worker screening, First Aid and CPR qualifications and other requirements applicable to the role. A current driver's licence and reliable transport are highly desirable.
At Care Right Associates, we believe that delivering quality support starts with having quality people.
We aim to provide our staff with clear expectations, practical support and opportunities to develop their skills and take on greater responsibility as they grow within the organisation.
We offer:
Competitive remuneration in accordance with the applicable award
A supportive locally based management team
Ongoing training and professional development
Opportunities for career progression and increased responsibility
A diverse range of participants and support environments
A workplace that values initiative, accountability and professionalism
Flexible part-time employment with opportunities to build hours based on availability, performance and participant needs
Care Right Associates is a locally owned and operated disability support provider servicing the Bundaberg community.
We are focused on providing practical, person-centred support that helps people with disability build independence, participate in their community and achieve meaningful goals.
Just as importantly, we are focused on building a strong team of Support Workers who are reliable, capable and genuinely invested in the quality of the support they provide.
We value employees who communicate openly, take responsibility for their work, show initiative and understand the importance of consistency and professional boundaries.
For the right people, Care Right Associates offers more than simply another support work position. We want to provide an environment where good staff are recognised, supported to develop and given opportunities to grow with the organisation.
If you are an experienced Support Worker looking for your next opportunity, or you believe you have the attitude, professionalism and transferable skills to become an excellent Support Worker, we would like to hear from you.
Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your experience, availability and why you believe you would be a good fit for Care Right Associates.
