Food Production Manager (Commercial)

Experienced Chef / Head Baker required to work and manage a small team in the preparation and dispatch of food from our central production factory in Bulimba to six stores and weekly markets across Brisbane.

Your duties will include:

1. Learn and control ALL aspects of production, including;

• Bagel production

• Freshly produced Bagel fillings.

• Packaging all products ready for dispatch

• Logistics

2. Control and implement strict food safety & hygiene practices set out in our Food Safety Program.

• Implementing & recording of daily cleaning schedules

• Recording of all food/fridge temperatures to comply with BCC regulations & guidelines.

• Training of staff in Food Safety, Hygiene and WHS

3. Ordering and stock control.

• Receiving, documenting & rotation of stock.

4. Motivating team to reach daily production targets.

5. Rostering.

You will be required to have:

• Excellent hygiene Practices

• Good Communication Skills (Essential).

• 5 years or more, managing Baking or food preparation.

• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or equivalent)

• A basic understanding of Excel (Essential)

• Australian Drivers License

• Positive can-do attitude

In addition, you will need to be:

• Contactable at all times when the factory is running

• Prepared to step in at anytime you can’t fill a rostered position

This position is a full time, Monday to Friday, with the possibility to step in on weekends or nightshift when necessary.
