About the role
As our Journey Owner, you’ll own the end-to-end member journey across the retain and retire lifecycle, translating strategic priorities, member insights and business goals into clear roadmaps, squad outcomes and delivery priorities. Reporting to the GM Member Experience, you’ll play a key role in shaping how we deliver meaningful, measurable value for members and the business.
  
You will:

• Own the end-to-end retain and retire member journey, including performance, backlog prioritisation and continuous improvement.
• Translate strategic priorities, member insights and business goals into a clear, actionable backlog of work for delivery teams.
• Develop and maintain journey roadmaps, ensuring alignment with enterprise delivery priorities, dependencies and outcomes.
• Work closely with Experience, Digital, Product and business stakeholders to align design, delivery and commercial outcomes.
• Define squad outcomes and OKRs, and make informed trade-offs across scope, time, quality, feasibility and value.
• Monitor and optimise journey performance, identifying opportunities to improve member engagement, retention, conversion and retirement outcomes. 

What we’re looking for
We’re looking for a strategic, commercially minded product or journey owner who can bring clarity to complex priorities and keep delivery focused on meaningful member outcomes.

You’ll thrive in this role if you have:

• Experience in product ownership, journey ownership or a similar role, ideally within financial services or another regulated environment.
• A strong understanding of human-centred design, service design principles, digital delivery and agile ways of working.
• Demonstrated experience developing journey roadmaps, prioritising backlogs and supporting squads to deliver high-value outcomes.
• Strong commercial judgement, data-led decision-making and the ability to balance member needs, business priorities and delivery constraints.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with confidence managing expectations and communicating direction at all levels.
• A collaborative, values-led approach, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive continuous improvement across squad planning, prioritisation and delivery.
