Marketing Coordinator

About the role:

The Marketing Coordinator is a newly created role that we’ve created to assist our Marketing Manager with all marketing activities across both gyms. This role plays an integral role in building the ONYX brand and driving our success. A hands-on role that will assist with implementing all activities of our marketing strategy including paid advertising, print marketing, email marketing, social media, events, partnerships and more!

You will be required to work at both Alexandria and Artarmon locations and will be required to have your own car and licence.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

1.        Paid Marketing

• Assist with the development and implementation of digital marketing strategies and campaigns, primarily on Meta.

• Monitor and analyse budgets, ad performance and identify opportunities.

• Develop creatives including filming and video editing

• Write ad copy.

2.       Print Marketing

• Develop creatives for print

• Liaise with 3rd party printers.

3.       Email Marketing

• Assist with developing and scheduling email campaigns as per our marketing strategy and promotional campaigns.

• Draft copy for all email marketing including monthly newsletter.

4.       Social Media

• Manage the social media schedule, including planning posts as per our social media strategy.

• Create all content including filming and video editing

• Draft captions

• Social media engagement including management of direct messages

• Stay updated on social media trends and best practices.

5.       Website

• Update the website with minor changes as required.

6.       Reporting

• Assist with monthly reporting on all marketing performance

• Provide insight and analysis on reporting and marketing data.

7.       Events & Partnerships

• Coordinate in-gym events and promotions

• Establish and maintain business partnerships for cross-promotional collaboration and corporate memberships

8.       Champion our brand and core values.

About you:

• Self-driven and results-focused

• Ability to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced, and growing environment

• Familiar with social media trends and practices

• Passion for health and fitness and the desire to help others!

• A creative mindset with the ability to think ‘outside the box’

Experience and Qualifications:

• 1 year+ experience in marketing

• Degree in marketing (preferred but not essential)

• Experience with Canva & Capcut

• Experience creating and editing social media content

• Experience writing various forms of copy – ads, emails, social media etc.
