Reporting to the Team Leader - Maintenance, you will undertake a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure our environment remains safe, functional and welcoming for residents, visitors and staff. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys problem solving, takes pride in their work and values making a positive difference in the lives of older people.

• Carry out general maintenance repairs and preventative maintenance across the facility.
• Assist with repairs to fixtures, fittings and building infrastructure.
• Maintain grounds and outdoor areas to a high standard.
• Respond to maintenance requests and prioritise tasks appropriately.
• Support emergency repair work when required.
• Work collaboratively with the maintenance team and other departments.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements.
• Contribute to a comfortable, homelike environment that supports resident wellbeing and independence.

To be successful, you will have:

• Previous experience in a general maintenance role.
• Strong practical skills across a range of maintenance tasks.
• Experience using maintenance tools and equipment safely.
• Sound understanding of workplace health and safety principles.
• The ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
• Strong time management and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• A collaborative approach and willingness to support the wider team.

Essential Requirements

• National Police Clearance.
• Current Manual Driver's Licence

Desirable

• Trade/Construction experience and/or relevant Trade Qualifications
• Experience in aged care, retirement living or similar environments.
• Current COVID-19 and Influenza vaccinations (highly recommended)
