Maintenance Manager

About the role

We are seeking a safety focussed, pragmatic and strategic maintenance leader to join our Mid-West Operational Management team (Mid-West OMT) based in Geraldton and Port Gregory. Reporting to the General Manager Mining Australia, the Maintenance Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of maintenance strategies, management systems and processes for mobile equipment and fixed plant assets across our Dry Plant, Wet Plant and Mine Site operations.

Key responsibilities

• Developing, delivering and optimising maintenance strategies to support consistent, stable plant and asset availability for the operations

• Overseeing and driving quality maintenance activities through maintenance planning, scheduling, reliability monitoring, system administration and reporting

• Monitoring and ensuring financial management for all maintenance activities and identifying optimisation opportunities

• Leading and developing a multidisciplinary maintenance team with a strong focus on safety and continuous improvement that works in partnership with the Operations Team

• Driving equipment health monitoring activities and embedding predictive and preventative maintenance strategies to minimise unplanned downtime

• Supporting the delivery of capital project works

• Ensuring critical spares availability and compliance with ISO quality standards and statutory requirements

About you

• A minimum of 5 years senior maintenance leadership experience within the resources or heavy industry

• Proven experience in driving safety for Operational teams

• Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, a relevant trade or demonstrated equivalent experience

• Demonstrated knowledge and expertise of scheduling practices, standards, systems and processes relevant to maintenance planning and execution

• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, engage with, influence and resolve conflict across all levels of a business and with internal and external stakeholders in a constructive and meaningful manner
