The Opportunity:
Futura Mining Services is seeking an organised, proactive and detail-driven Environmental Coordinator to coordinate and maintain the Company's environmental department.  This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic mining environment, enjoys building strong stakeholder relationships, and is confident managing environmental compliance obligations, approval requirements, community engagement activities and continuous improvement initiatives to support the ongoing success of our operations.

Duties will include:

• Coordinated environmental compliance activities in accordance with regulatory approvals and licence conditions.

• Maintain environmental monitoring programs and reporting requirements.

• Assist with the preparation and submission of environmental approvals, permits and statutory reports.

• Coordinated environmental inspections, audits and corrective actions.

• Manage environmental data integrity, records and document control systems.

• Support rehabilitation planning and execution, land management and environmental improvement initiatives.

• Facilitated stakeholder engagement with landholders, regulators and community representatives.

• Assisted with community consultation programs and management of community enquiries.

• Contribute to environmental risk assessments and management plans.

About You:

As the successful candidate, you are organised, proactive and confident in managing competing priorities across environmental department.  You can communicate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders, including regulators, landholders, contractors and operational personnel, and have a strong attention to detail.  You enjoy building positive relationships, maintaining compliance obligations and ensuring approvals, agreements and reporting requirements are effectively managed.  Above all, you bring a positive, solutions-focused and safety-driven approach to supporting the sustainable success of our operations.

This will be achieved and supported by your:

• Experience in an environmental role within the mining industry  

• Excellent attention to detail and confidence working with data, environmental systems, records and documentation

• Ability to prioritise tasks, manage competing deadlines and work both independently and within a team

• Safety-focused, reliable and proactive work style, with a calm and professional approach under pressure

• Current Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical

• Valid driver’s licence and proof of right to work in Australia

• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
