Seeking Chaser bin driver for 2026 harvest

About the role

Rockleigh trading is seeking an experienced Chaser bin driver to join our team for the 2026 harvest season. This is a casual position based in Sandilands SA. As a Chaser bin driver, you will be integral to our logistics and transport operations during the peak harvest period, ensuring efficient grain and produce transport between field and storage facilities. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced agricultural environment where your driving skills and operational knowledge will be highly valued.

What you'll be doing

• Operating a John Deere 9470r tractor and a 45t chaser bin to transport grain and produce from the header to storage facilities or trucks

• Performing pre-operation and post-operation vehicle inspections to ensure equipment is in good working order

• Communicating effectively with harvest crew members and coordinating timing with combine operators

• Maintaining accurate records of transport movements and load details as required

• Responding promptly to operational changes and adapting to harvest schedule requirements

What we're looking for

• Current and valid driver's licence

• Experience operating chaser bins or similar agricultural transport equipment

• Strong knowledge of harvest operations and agricultural logistics

• The ability to work long hours during the harvest season with flexibility in scheduling

• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a harvest team

• Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills for equipment

• Reliability and punctuality in meeting operational timelines
