About the role
Affinity Alliance is a Registered NDIS service provider that provides a range of flexible and tailored services to bring people with disabilities hope by building their capacity and living a life based on their strengths, rights, and choices. Affinity Alliance is committed to improving our client’s quality of life, focusing on a holistic approach.
As a member of our support team, your role would involve assisting individuals with their daily living skills, organizing and participating in social and recreational activities, monitoring and implementing healthy lifestyle practices, and empowering participants to achieve their goals. This position entails working with individuals with a range of needs, including those with complex behaviours and medication requirements. We are looking for candidates with experience and professionalism, who can navigate these varying needs with skill and compassion.
What We Need:
Motivated, compassionate, and energetic support workers who care deeply about our participants' well-being.
Minimum Certificate III or Certificate IV in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services, or a related field.
Minimum 1 years experience in community access and SIL, SDA, or respite housing.
Must have good spoken and written English communication skills
Experience supporting individuals with disabilities, including those with complex needs and challenging behaviors.
Skills in behavior management, medication administration, dysphagia, respiratory and epilepsy management, diabetes care, continence support, manual handling, and transfers.
Availability for flexible shifts including days, evenings, sleepovers, weekends, and public holidays.
Your Role Includes:
Supporting participants in community activities and developing independent living skills.
Assisting with personal care, medication management and following health support plans.
Documenting shift notes, incident reports and suggesting improvements.
Meal preparation and domestic duties as needed.
Building positive relationships with participants and team members.
