About the Role:

Are you passionate about creating amazing, nutritious meals and cooking experiences for children? Canopy Dakabin is currently seeking a part-time cook to join our high-performing, stable team for 30-35 hours per week.

At capacity our centre caters for up to 99 children with operating hours from 6.30am-6.30pm, delivering all meals from breakfast to a late snack.

We are an active child safe organisation with a deep commitment to fostering a child-safe culture that is reflected in our practice, governance, team values and community partnerships.

About the Role:

To be successful in your application, you must have:

• Food Safety certificate (completed I'm Alert training)

• Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)

• Experience in menu planning, budgeting, stock ordering & control

• Experience in dietary and allergy safe requirements. 

• Experience in ensuring a clean and safe kitchen environment in accordance with the relevant Food Safety regulations

• Great communication and interpersonal skills and be a team player

• Availability for 30-35 hours each week
