The role

This is an Aboriginal Identified role where Aboriginal identity, cultural knowledge or connections are a genuine aspect of the role. Positions are specifically noted under the provisions of the NSW Anti-discrimination Act (1977). 

Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex grant programs. Ensuring strong governance, compliance, risk management and performance oversight. You’ll provide clear advice and reporting to senior leaders, while guiding the team and resolving issues early to keep programs on track.

You’ll work closely with Aboriginal communities, Local Aboriginal Land Councils and government partners to build strong relationships and navigate sensitive conversations. With competing priorities and tight timeframes, you’ll coordinate delivery, monitor progress and tackle challenges head-on to keep outcomes moving and create real impact for communities. You’ll also help create a supportive team environment where people enjoy working together, bring a positive approach to challenges and stay focused on achieving meaningful outcomes.

What you will bring to the role

• Communicate complex information clearly and influence diverse stakeholders to achieve shared outcomes.
• Lead and develop teams while driving delivery performance, resolving issues and managing competing priorities.
• Analyse challenges and implement practical solutions to deliver results in complex, high-risk environments.
• You will be comfortable working across both strategic and operational delivery, stepping into the detail where needed, resolving issues early and bringing a practical, solutions-focused approach to complex grant programs.

What is an essential requirement:

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or demonstrated equivalent professional experience
• This role requires extensive travel within NSW and a current NSW Driver’s License
• This is an Identified role under the Section 14d of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 and as such Aboriginality is an essential requirement of the role. Aboriginal identified positions are developed where Aboriginal identity, cultural knowledge or connections are a genuine aspect of the role.
