Ecommerce & Production Coordinator

About the role

Old Mate Designs is a small Australian manufacturing business designing and producing high end precision products in their Murray Bridge workshop. This is a varied role combining ecommerce, assembly and fulfilment. One minute you might be answering a customer email or updating an order in Shopify, and the next you'll be assembling a product, pressing bearings, checking finished parts or packing international orders.

Key responsibilities

• Managing customer emails and enquiries
• Managing Shopify orders
• Handling order changes, tracking enquiries and basic customer service
• Assembling products
• Pressing bearings, magnets and other components
• Cleaning and preparing finished CNC machined parts
• Performing final quality control
• Laser engraving products where required
• Packaging customer orders
• Printing shipping labels and organising dispatch
• Keeping packaging and assembly areas organised
• Monitoring packaging materials and consumables
• Helping manage finished product inventory
• Working to improve assembly and fulfilment processes

About you

• Extremely particular about quality
• Reliable and organised
• Comfortable working independently
• Good with computers
• Confident communicating with customers
• Mechanically minded and good with their hands
• Able to follow processes accurately
• Willing to learn
• Comfortable switching between computer work and hands on work
• Experience with Shopify, ecommerce, manufacturing, assembly, warehousing or customer service would be great, but isn't essential
