About the role

Advanced Smiles is seeking a part-time Dentist (1-2 days per week) to join our dental practice in Oakleigh South, VIC. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified dental professional to provide high-quality patient care in a supportive and modern clinical environment. Working on a part-time basis, you will have the flexibility to balance your professional commitments whilst delivering exceptional dental services to our diverse patient base. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a dedicated team committed to advancing oral health and patient satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Conducting comprehensive dental examinations and diagnoses utilising clinical expertise and diagnostic tools

• Performing a range of restorative and preventative dental procedures including fillings, extractions, and root canal treatments

• Developing and implementing individualised treatment plans tailored to patient needs and preferences

• Providing professional oral hygiene advice and preventative care education to patients

• Maintaining accurate and detailed clinical records in accordance with regulatory requirements

• Adhering to all infection control protocols, health and safety standards, and professional ethical guidelines

• Contributing to a positive and welcoming patient experience through professional communication and clinical excellence

What we're looking for

• Recognised dental qualification and current registration with the Dental Board of Australia

• Valid Australian dental licence and compliance with continuing professional development requirements

• Demonstrated clinical competency in general dentistry procedures

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds

• Commitment to patient-centred care and maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice

• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary dental team environment

• Knowledge of current dental regulations, infection control standards and professional indemnity requirements

• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail in clinical and administrative documentation

• Previous experience in a general dental practice is highly desirable
